Adipurush, starring Prabhas, is prepared to cause a commotion in movie theaters. This Om Raut-directed film will have its world premiere on June 16 in just a few hours. Advance reservations for Adipurush began on Sunday, June 11. There is no doubt, based on advance ticket sales, that the film has received a tremendous response from the audience. In fact, the CEO of PVR Inox, Gautam Dutta, is optimistic that Adipurush will earn between Rs 80 and Rs 85 crores on its inaugural day.

Recently, Gautam Dutta shared a video explaining the anticipated first-day sales of Adipurush. He disclosed that approximately 4 lakh tickets have already been reserved for the inauguration weekend at three of India's most popular multiplexes. In an interview with media, the CEO of PVR Inox stated that Adipurush is destined to become one of the most popular films, drawing comparisons to Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan.
Gautam Dutta explained why he believes Adipurush will have a "colossal opening": "The leading languages in this film would be Telugu and Hindi, followed by other languages, and Prabhas being a very popular star in the south, along with the entire north belt, should give the film a gigantic start."
Reason behind Adipurush’s mass appeal
Analyzing the film's market trends, Gautam Dutta added that if the first three days of Adipurush's release (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) are combined, the film could easily surpass Rs 200 crores at the box office. According to the CEO, Adipurush received a similar reception from moviegoers as Pathaan due to its engaging subject matter, which resonated well with the majority of the populace. He believed that, similar to Pathaan, Adipurush would attract a large audience of all ages.

Adipurush, which reportedly cost Rs 500 crores to produce, has already earned Rs 432 crores from non-theatrical commerce. The pan-Indian marvel will be distributed globally in 3D. In addition to Prabhas, Kriti Sanon will play the role of Sita, and Saif Ali Khan will play the demon monarch Ravana. There are also Devdutt Nage, Sunny Singh, and Angad Bedi in the ensemble.
