There had been divorce turmoil in the past, but the couple had reconciled and were giving their relationship another shot.

On Saturday, following her husband Kroy Biermann's filing for a second time for a divorce, Kim Zolciak was spotted out and about sans her wedding ring. While Kim was on the phone, she appeared to be overcome with emotion and had watery eyes. She was dressed entirely in black, and she accessorized with a white band that was knotted over her wrist.
Notably, the pair had previously been involved in a contentious divorce proceeding, but they had reconciled their disagreements in order to give their marriage another shot. The most recent court filings reveal that Kroy has declared that he and his wife's marriage is "irretrievably broken."
A recent article published by TMZ cited a person who discussed the couple's struggles financially. They have become absurdly petty over who hasn't paid their bills. The insider revealed that they are now "counting down to pennies."

Earlier on, the couple had to deal with a variety of financial challenges, one of which being the loss of their Georgia house to foreclosure because of unpaid loans. In addition to this, there were rumors that they owed the IRS more than one million dollars in back taxes.
According to prior accounts, Kroy was quoted as saying that Kim was the cause of the family's financial difficulties since she had a gambling addiction. In the meantime, Kim was spreading rumors that Kroy had a problem with substance addiction.In May of 2010, Kim and Kroy had their first encounter at a charitable event. Since they were married, the couple has been blessed with four children: twin daughters Kaia Rose and Kane Ren, who are nine years old, and sons Kash Kade and Kroy Jagger. In 2013, Kroy became Kim's legal guardian and adopted her two kids, Brielle and Ariana, who were born to her from a previous marriage.
